Struggling to Lose Weight? Why Surrender is a Key Tool

 I had a conversation with a client recently who started the conversation telling me all the things that were going on since our previous appointment.  

She ate foods she didn’t want to eat because her son graduated from 8th grade and he wanted to go to a particular restaurant

She was chaperoning a field trip and the food choices were limited

She feels like she’s on her own because her husband brings soda and chips into the house

It was a list of all the things she felt were not going well.  That weren’t ‘perfect’ for her situation to lose weight,

I stopped before she could continue.

And I had her put things in perspective

The truth is we professional working moms are BUSY and we live in a world that prides business, achieving, striving to do more

And you have accomplished a LOT

But you also want to lose weight.  But weight loss NOT achieved the way we've achieved other successes in our lives.
